This is the job which is going to be the first job to get ticked off my to do list. To finish the sanding back of the epoxy filler on the deck of the Morgan Giles 30, so that I can then go over the deck marking off the areas missed the first time it was filled.
The cockpit is going to be a challenging area with a lot of different angles in such as small area, so it is going to be a combination of machine and hand sanding to sand the whole area to the correct cambers as there are a number of different camber within the area of the cockpit.
Then it will be on to the bottom of the dinghy which needs a number of small grp repairs which will need to be done using a dermal tool to do the small areas and a small grinder/ sander to do the other repairs
The main repairs are the bottom of the stem to keel area which in the past were unprotect and the spilt on the port side which needs filling and fairing before the hull is painted again.
The inside is fairly well sorted now. Just got to mould a new aft seat/buoyancy tank and make a new centre thwart out of Mahogany.
Once these jobs on the dinghy are done then the hull inside and outside can be primered and the gunwales and inwales can be nailed in position and they can be varnished. the breasthook and quarter knees needed and the outboard pad made and filled.
Once all this is done then it is off to its owner for him to use once more.
