Not a boat, but we do other things when we are asked to repair GRP bodies of camper van's

The first job was to cut out the fractured Fibreglass from the vertical crack to release any tension in the area and let the shape go back to its original position before rebuilding the body work

The same is done to the lower crack so that it can be moved back into itsd original position and then held there while it is repaired

The side panel is cleaned up and the loose parts removed and then put to one side so that the pieces can be cleaned up of the old sealant that they were held together with and so the parts can be repaired with the parts they were originally from

These two parts show how much is missing and how much as to be rebuild

Repairs having to be done to this part before the other part which is still on the camper is repaired and matched up with this part

A fair bit of reconstruction needed here to line up the two parts of the side and back panels

cleaning up the back end of the side panel where it connects to the back panel

These small parts getting cleaned up so that they can be positioned to be repaired and reconnected to the part they were originally connected too.

Cleaning up the areas which will be fibreglassed back together

Because they very lightly build the only way to hold them in position was to masking tape the section together so weight was put on the joints and push them out of position

Fibreglassing up the breaks and the broken pieces so that the next stage of rebuilding can take place, once the parts have cured off and the nexy part of rebuilding the missing parts can get underway.
