So the upper re-decking starts

The first fore cabin panel is glued and screwed down and an off cut from the lower deck is the correct size to make the front fore cabin panel.

The main cabin roof forward area is the size of one sheet of plywood so this is a good thing as the only cutting is the length and not the width

The owner has done a very good job of cleaning out the cockpit hull and as removed all the loose paint and the dirt and grease from the hull, so it is now ready to paint out and once this is done the cockpit framework can go back in and the cockpit will then be better than before, 

As normal the worse of the loose paint was in the under water sections of the hull and where the engine was seating and where it was not normally possible to paint on a yearly basis 

Because the bilge stringer is not in place it will be possible to paint under this area easily and make sure the area in painted

The first coat of thinned down primer to penetrate the bare wood

The van has been done as well so people will be able to stop when we are out and about on the local and nationwide roads 

The aft cockpit bulkhead has now been removed ready to fit the new bulkhead and rebuild the cockpit

The bottom rail which was the back support for the cockpit floor which be beefed up to make it stronger to support the area of the cockpit floor

The top edge is cut away so that the new bulkhead can be fitted to the under side of the cockpit coaming

The top edge now removed so to be able to fit the new bulkhead to the deck beam

The bulkhead now all removed and the reconstruction can begin
