The last two layers of Fibreglass on the lid for the water tank and the baffle plate
The panels are now the finished thickness and now as to be left to cure off and then cut to the correct shape and size to fit the water tank
The baffle plate now finished and will be put to one side for a week and the cut down to size to be fitted in the tank before the lid is glassed into position.
Once they have cured they will have the inspection lids fitted in the top on each side of the centre baffle plate so that it will be easy to keep the tank cleaned and change any of the fitting put into the tank when the tank is fitted in to the space for it in the main cabin of the Morgan Giles 30

A new refit job came in today for a full makeover
This old pilot 14 is in for a complete makeover from top to bottom.
The first job will be to go over the boat and mark off the areas that need reinforcement around the hull to deck joint and then repair the joint and add more fibreglass over the joint.
Once that is done then it will be time to sand the whole boat to get it ready to paint after all the old paint is removed back to the original gelcoat and then paint the whole boat with epoxy primer before changing the colour to a bright yellow
The cockpit and cabin are going to be sanded down and then given a couple of coats of grey bilge paint to make it an easy surface to keep clean

After undoing the bolts and nuts holding down the water pump upper housing found the root cause of the engine cooling problem, the water pump impeller totally U/S little or no blades left behind
Even the upper housing is U/S as it got hot and as mis-formed itself and so as the lower plate

Back on my Feet if only for short periods.
Having taken a week and half off work for my ankle to help recover from the injury it has situated following my fall. I have taken the ankle complete bed rest for a week and then moving around for half a week and now back on my feet if only for short periods of time at the moment. Building this up over the next few weeks until I am back to full strength in my ankle once more.
Although some jobs have been put back a little with the help of a few friends I should be able to get back on track quickly and get on with work once more as before.
So next week I hope to get back to my workshop and do a few small jobs, As I can not sit at home as I need to be doing something.
