Having cut the rails out of a board of Mahogany it is time to plane and sand the rails
With all the rope fender support rails, I plane a flat edge to help stop the edge from breaking out and it helps the edge from breaking when in place on the boats hull
Hand planing the rails as this is the best way to get a smooth finish on the faces of the rails
