Starting to fit the seacocks to the Morgan Giles 30 toilet compartment

Having had the owner decide where he wish to locate the seacocks , it was a matter of cutting through the inner layer of fibreglass and the foam insulation to expose the outer hull. 

Both areas cut out and ready to fit the skin fittings once the packing pads are epoxied into position

The two seacocks in position, just a matter of mixing up soe epoxy with low density filler powder and setting the seacocks in their final position.

Now with the holes cut out to fit the packing pads in position with the thickened epoxy.

 

Restoring the old weathered cockpit table off the Hardy 25 and removing the old varnish and dark stain off the steering wiring box.

The old weathered teak cockpit getting a good sanding back to get rid of the old varnished and faded wood.

Giving the same treatment to the underside of the same table.

After a bit of light sanding got the original colour of the teak veneer coming through and will need a few coats of varnish to look like new again.

The first coat applied and the rich colour coming through once again.

Making a start on the steering cable and wiring box and giving it the same treatment as the table.

 

Photos of the old bilge pump which needs replacing and the unknown transducer and getting ready to remove the fuel tank to empty and clear the diesel fuel tank.

An unknown transducer which will be checked out and if not needed will be replaced with a depth echo sounder transducer which will work and the present transducer does not give a reading

Getting to grips with the fuel tank and removing the panels holding the fuel tank in place.

Just removing the fuel lines ready to get the fuel tank from under the side deck and the get the fuel out of the tank once it is in the middle of the cockpit and have access to the fuel tank

 

Checking the outside of the Hardy 25 and finding a few things that were not as they should be, Also starting to compound the hull so we can see the extent of the hull repairs needed.

Now that the rope fender as been removed it as highlighted a need to replace the starboard rope fender rail as it is now correct and is made to of short pieces.

It also does not fit the hull correctly and is not made of the correct wood as well. 

Getting the serial number off the leg unit to get the spare parts needed to sort out the leg problems and get a new anode for the leg unit.

The port side been given a first compounding and it shows the difference between the two sides 

Once the hull is compounded then will be able to get on with the gelcoat repairs on the hull.

 

The starboard fore & side decks of the speedboat long boarded flat ready to be re-veneered and a dinghy in need of a bit of TLC before being put up for sale.

The longboarding showed up the high spots on the original deck by going through the surface veneer of the original deck in places.

Some of the areas were larger than others as in this photo.

The long side decks were fairly flat and just the edge needing a bit of light sanding to return the sharp  edge to the edge of the deck.

There may be a few small areas that need a bit of final filling and sanding, however, the man part of the decks are now ready.

The boat under the light blue cover is in need of a bit of TLC and then will be put up for sale as the owner can no longer sail the boat and wishes it to go to a good home and be used once more.
