The Morgan Giles 30's stanchions and guard rails going back on with new wedges under the bases

Starting to dry fit the pulpit and the stanchions back on the deck to make the angle of the wedges under the stanchion bases are the correct angle to ensure the stanchions stand upright

There appears a long distance between the front stanchion and the next stanchion along the deck, the reason is that in the space between the two stanchions is the area where the shrouds and lower stays are attached to the chain plate and therefore there is little need for a next stanchion in that area

In these twp photos the Genoa tracks are making the shape of the stanchion base to be modified to fit in the space between the toe rail and the Genoa track

Picnic Boat Engine installation starting

Now that the engine beds have now been finished on the inside of the engine beds it is time to make a start on positioning the engine in the finished position and then drill out the engine angle steels to take the bolts so that the engine can be bolted in its finished position

A good fit height ways and length ways, just got to get the correct down angle on the engine, so can set up the position of the hole for the stern tube to go through the bottom of the hull

A couple of chocks to level the engine while working out the correct angle to work to do position the stern tube.

The items left to fix are the rowlock blocks and the outboard pad and then fit the rope fender under the gunwale and the knees and bow ring and finally the overall cover
