One of the first jobs is to remove this old tired rope fender and replace with a new rope when the restoration is almost completed with a fender the correct length.
After the rope fender is removed, then do the necessary gelcoat repairs and compound and polish the hull back to as near to the way it was when it left the Hardy yard.
Most of the gelcoat repairs are on the bow and down the starboard side where the boat as been manoeuvred in the past.
The port side as a few marks
The starboard side as a lot more
The transom is a bit more difficult to compound because of the amount of fittings to work round.
Another of the major jobs is to remove and replace all the window rubbers and the Perspex windows in the cabin
Then the wheelhouse windows rubbers need to renewed as well as these are perished as well.
