The Hardy 25 cabin bunk boards jigsaw puzzle begins

Now that the carpets in the cabin are now finished being glued in position it is time to fit the bunk boards jig saw puzzle to being to be fitted 

The last of the removable bulkheads now back in position and the head linings can start to be fitted back in position 

The blocks to fit on the bulkhead at each end and the shelf can go back in position 

Just got to make and fit the blocks to fit each end of the shelf

The main bunk top boards back in position and just need to be fixed  the back set in position

Come a long way in getting the interior back the way it was when the boat left Hardy Marine 35 years ago

The cabin carpet linings now all cut and ready to fit in the cabin

The first Carpet limning to fit the on the Chain locker bulkhead and then the rest fit up to this and from this from that bulkhead

These are all cut to size and now just need gluing in position 

Once these linings are fitted then the removable bulkheads can be refitted and then the rest of the interior can be refitted. 

Now the main cabin carpet linings are now fitted , so in the morning the bulkheads can start to go back in position

The cockpit battery lockers now getting their thinned coats of varnish before they are coated in Satin varnish 

The Fuel tank cover panel and the diesel Heater locker looking like they would have looked when the boat left Hardy Marine 35 years ago

The all interior bulkheads are now looking more like them did when the boat was newly build

Rudder heel shoe fitting finally off and on its way to the engineering company to be sorted

The heel fitting finally off after great of cutting and grinding of the joint between the base and the re-movable part of the fitting  

Now it is off the worn out bearing in the heel fitting can be bore out and a new fitting put in the hole and the bottom of the rudder pin can be measured up to ensure it is still in shape

The two studs which the iron fitting had seized on to, making it difficult to remove and also they are tapered as well

The rudder loaded in the works van ready to go to the Engineering company to be sorted over the next week.

Getting The outer bearing off the Morgan Giles 30 andgetting to grips with all the varnishing on the Hardy 25

Now having got the outer bearing housing off the Morgan Giles 30 it is now on to the internet and suppliers to get a new bearing insert to fit the old bearing housing so that the old stern gear can be used again after a thorough overhauling and a new propeller shaft made to fit the new engine installation

The fitting even as a position stamp on it to ensure it is put the correct way up

There are a lot of Varnished boards that go in a Hardy 25 Cabin, however once they are in they disappear under Bunk cushions. So much of the hard work that goes into varnishing is hidden from sight.
