This Enterprise dinghy is in for some much needed TLC, The main areas are where the varnish needs to be sanded back to bare wood and patch varnished until it is back up to the same thickness as the area that are not affected.
Once this is done then the Enterprise dinghy will turned over and the hull sanded and primered where necessary and then given a fresh coat of white marine gloss.
Some of the areas that were affected were large and other not so large
As in this photo just a small area around the top of the stem on to the small area of the foredeck.
The Mai Star Class dinghy is now ready to be cleaned down and the bare patches need marine primer applied and then a fresh coat of white gloss and the top plank need re-varnishing before the boat is turned back over and the inside and top of the gunwales need re-varnishing and the inside needs repainting
The restoration dinghy project is coming along with a few more hull repairs to be done on the inside before the whole of the inside is sanded back to clean fibreglass and the inside is given a coat of grey flow coat.
Then the gunwale will be made and steamed into position and the rest of the restoration will be done.
